Stephy Mavididi played the final 26 minutes of Charlton’s EFL Trophy loss against Oxford United.
The Addicks took an early lead through Karl Ahearne-Grant, before the visitors struck back thanks to Wesley Thomas nine minutes after the break.
The 19-year-old came on as a substitute and stepped up to take a penalty in the shootout but saw his effort saved as Charlton lost 3-0.
