Alexandre Lacazette was delighted to see the team return to winning ways on Thursday, and even more so with the manner of the win.
The Gunners seemed to be in control at 1-0 up, but then had to show plenty of character after Gabriel Martinelli's double yellow card reduced us to ten men for the final 25 minutes, including injury time.
"In the end we handled the pressure, and to play the end of the game like this, it’s a really good win," Laca told Arsenal Media after the game.
"We deserved it because throughout the game we had chances to score. I had one and should have scored, but in the end the team was strong."
The win lifts us to fifth place in the Premier League, one point behind West Ham, but with two games in hand on the Hammers. We've got 16 games remaining this season as we chase Champions League qualification.
"Each game is going to be really important if we want to go to the Champions League," Laca added. "We know in January we were not good enough, so we want to be better to increase our chance for the top four."
