Josh, you've just signed your first professional contract with The Arsenal. Can you describe how you're feeling right now?

I'm very happy to reach this milestone. I feel like I've worked a lot and deserved it and I'm just hungry for more.

What was it that made you want to commit the future to this club?

I have a lot of trust in the coaches and staff. I feel like they've made me a better player and besides the facilities, I feel like they're very committed to making me a better player. That's why I decided to commit long-term.

And for our supporters, who maybe didn't catch you playing in the Emirates Cup this season, how would you describe your playing style on the pitch?

I would say I’m a ball-playing centre-back. I like to drive out, I'm fast and I'm good at defending. I can carry the ball up the pitch quite well so that's how I’d describe myself.

That's definitely an area of the game that we seem to be working on. How do you view your progression?

In that area, I think I've done a lot of training on it and with the coaching staff, I think I've improved quite well. So I think I'm heading in the right direction.

You've been with us right from the under-12 level. What are some of your standout moments from your time as a player so far?

I think the most stand-out moment was getting quite far in the FA Youth Cup. That was quite a big moment for me and it's one of the biggest current achievements that I have right now.

What would you say about getting to that stage in the FA Youth Cup? What was it particularly that made it so special?

I think when we came up against Man City and there were a lot of doubts, people might not have believed that we could beat them. So to go out there and beat them 2-1, that was a very good feeling.

And then finally, you've got your family here today to watch you sign your first professional contract. What does your family mean to you and how big a moment is this for everyone?

They mean a lot to me. I wouldn't have got this far without them. There were a lot of days when maybe my dad was a bit harsh on me because he knew I could have done better. I think it was all for a good reason. I'm just happy I could have do it with them.
