It was a happy birthday and 100th game in the dugout for Jonas Eidevall on Sunday evening.
After the final whistle blew and we secured a 2-0 win against Liverpool, the boss reflected on the performance.
Here's everything he had to say:
on today's performance...
Yeah, the performance I'm really happy about today. And that was the most important thing.
on how proud he is to share this moment with the supporters...
Yeah, it's a huge privilege being able to do that. And the supporters played a huge part in how special they make it feel to represent Arsenal. But it's not about me, it's about the team, and the team was very good today and that's what pleased me the most.
on our patience to secure a win...
Moving the ball well, setting up the situations over and over again, constantly managing the longer balls and being able to connect with the second balls. Constantly managing a lot of potentially frustrating moments in the game where the ball is not in play, where there are fouls.
They did excellent. All we spoke about before the game, they managed excellently. That's why it's really pleasing to see that we get the result
on Vivianne Miedema's comeback goal...
That's what I'm trying to stress as a point when we're talking about returning to play - that it comes in different phases. One is when you actually physically come on the pitch the first time and you're physically ready to play.
But what's gonna happen after that is where's your self confidence? Where is your decision making? Where is your timing? And so on. And that's what's going to build and that's individual, but I think we can all see that Vivianne Miedema is building in the right direction.
And she's been playing better and better here now for this whole month and today, I think she was really strong. It was only a matter of time before she was going to score her first goal coming back, but she did it at a very good time.
on how quickly Emily Fox has settled in...
It is. How well has she integrated, it's amazing. It's credit to her. It's credit to our scouting departments to identify her as our number one target. It's credit to players and staff being able to integrate her, making her relocation easy.
But when she plays with that much self-confidence and assertiveness that she did today, that's a really good thing.
