Interview

‘It’s good… but the weather is rather strange!’

Alexandre Lacazette has only been at the club for three months, but he has already made a big impact in north London.

The France striker has scored two goals in five games since joining us from Lyon, and it has not taken him long to settle in behind the scenes either.

“It's good, although the weather is rather strange,” he told Arsenal Player. “I’ll have to get used to going from sunshine to cold rain in a matter of seconds! I'm enjoying myself at the club. Everything is going well with my team-mates, the coaching staff and the medical team. I'm really happy.

“In the dressing room there are plenty of Frenchmen who've been helping me. The English players are very nice to me. All my team-mates in the squad are friendly. I have a natural connection with my French team-mates, but I am learning every day from everyone. It’s going well and I hope it will carry on like that all season long.

“Obviously a couple of months isn't long enough to get to know my team-mates really well,” Lacazette added. “I’ll be happy when I have that understanding with them on the pitch with my eyes shut. It has been going well already, as I've managed to score some goals and boost my confidence. It's going well.”
