Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is in red-hot form right now.
The Gabon striker netted his 11th and 12th goals of the season during Sunday’s north London derby win at Emirates Stadium, putting him two clear of Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane in the race for the Golden Boot.
“It’s early in the season and I know that we have good strikers in this league,” he said. “It will be tough, but I am happy that we won against Tottenham. I think the most important thing, as I always say, is the team.
“I think I’m not at my 100 per cent, but it is coming. It’s coming. Against Tottenham, I felt very good on the pitch and I am really happy. But my best form is coming.
“It’s the best league in the world so it’s a great challenge for me. Of course I prefer playing centrally, but I know that I am can help the team and sometimes the coach puts me on the left side. But as I said, it’s my favourite position, so on Sunday it was good.”
