But we continued to push on and were rewarded when Emile Smith Rowe slotted home after good work from Bukayo Saka and Alex Lacazette.
Despite our dominance, Aaron Ramsdale was still called into action twice in the first half - and his save from James Maddison will be remembered for years.
Our goalkeeper had to make a series of smart saves after the restart but we held on to claim a big three points on the road.
