Our match against Brentford will live long in the memory of Emile Smith Rowe.
The 18 year old made his first start for us in our Carabao Cup third-round win, and caught the eye of team-mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
“I am very happy for him because he did a good game, and for the other players as well. Everyone showed that everyone is ready to play and it doesn’t matter what kind of game it’s going to be, Premier League, Carabao Cup, FA Cup or Europa league. Everyone is ready to play and to help Arsenal succeed.”
Danny Welbeck liked what he saw from Smith Rowe too.
“He's a great player, we see it every day in training and he's had lots of great performances in the under-23s,” Welbeck added. “We see the ability he has got, and everyone has welcomed him and tried to give him advice and he has a lot of talent. We hope to see a lot more of him in the first team.”
