Kai Havertz was quick to praise the influence of the Arsenal supporters in our 3-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday.
The decibel levels were cranked up several notches as the intensity of the match grew throughout the afternoon, with both sets of players fully committed in a highly competitive, intense Premier League clash.
Afterwards Havertz – who put in a hard-working performance up front – said the atmosphere had a real effect on the game.
“The small details made the difference today,” he said. “Definitely our mentality and obviously the supporters helping us. We needed them today; they showed big belief and made us run. We are very happy about the three points.
“There’s no secret to the win – two top teams on the pitch. The small details are very important, we scored two good goals, maybe they were a bit lucky, but their goal was lucky as well. We are very happy.
“It was a big night for us, the supporters were brilliant. We are very thankful for them.”
