Santi Cazorla signed a new contract at Arsenal on Friday afternoon.
The Spain international has provided plenty of memorable moments since arriving at Arsenal in 2012, from the long-range drive at Upton Park to that FA Cup final free-kick.
We’ve looked through the archives and picked our favourite five from Santi’s time as a Gunner.
1. West Ham United 1-3 Arsenal
October 6, 2012
Arsenal did not fall behind often in 2012/13 but when they did, they responded well. On this occasion, Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott cancelled out Mohamed Diame’s opener before Santi Cazorla scored a stunner to give the Gunners an unassailable lead. The ball broke for the playmaker 25 yards from goal and, after a quick look at Jussi Jaaskelainen’s position, he rifled a left-footed shot across the goalkeeper and into the far corner.
2. Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal
November 3, 2012
Arsene Wenger and Alex Ferguson battled it out for 17 years at the top of the Premier League. This time Ferguson’s men triumphed but Santi Cazorla got on the scoresheet with a cracker. Bacary Sagna’s cross from the right went all the way through to the Spaniard at the far post. Cazorla's first shot was blocked but he made no mistake with the next, ducking past two sprawling defenders to smash into the top corner for an injury-time consolation.
3. Arsenal 5-1 West Ham United
January 23, 2013
For the second time in the 2012/13 season, Arsenal had fallen behind to West Ham United. However, like in the previous meeting, the Gunners hit back and this time fired five past the Hammers. After Lukas Podolski and Giroud put Arsenal ahead, the two combined with a clever one-two on the edge of the box to set up Cazorla, who found the net with a neat backheel.
4. Arsenal 2-0 Liverpool
November 2, 2013
Arsenal had made a superb start to the 2013/14 season, and this match had been seen as their first major test of their title credentials. Arsene Wenger’s side responded with an electric start and battered the visitors’ goalmouth in the opening exchanges. They finally made the breakthrough in the 19th minute when Sagna breezed down the right wing and crossed to the onrushing Cazorla. The Spaniard met the ball at full speed and crashed a header against the post, but was alert enough to thump the ball into the net on the rebound.
5. Arsenal 3-2 Hull City
May 17, 2014
The start to the 2013/14 FA Cup final was the stuff of nightmares for Arsenal as they fell behind to two goals in the opening nine minutes. They needed a response to give them some hope - and Cazorla provided it with this inch-perfect free kick. Stationed 30 yards from goal, the Spaniard stepped up and powered a free-kick into the top right-hand corner to spark a much-needed revival. Laurent Koscielny and Aaron Ramsey then struck to end the Gunners’ nine-year wait for silverware.
