Emma Mitchell has left the club following the conclusion of her contract, and has joined Reading alongside former teammate Danielle Carter.
Emma joined us from SGS Essen in 2013, and since then she’s helped us to two Women’s FA Cups, two Continental Tyres Cups and the Barclays FA Women’s Super League title in 2019.
Following seven successful years in north London, Emma leaves the club as a valued Arsenal 100 Club member, having made 119 appearances across all competitions with eight goals to her name.
The Scotland international will be remembered for many iconic Arsenal moments throughout her career, including scoring against Manchester City on the last day of the 2018/19 season, the game in which Arsenal lifted the Barclays FA Women’s Super League trophy.
Emma joins Danielle in signing for Reading this summer and we look forward to welcoming them next season.
“Emma is part of the Arsenal 100 club, her contribution to the club has been fantastic, and we truly wish her the very best of health and success for her next chapter.” said head coach, Joe Montemurro.
Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Emma for her outstanding contribution to the team’s success, and for her exceptional commitment to the club.
We wish both Emma and Danielle the very best for their futures.
