Tyreece John-Jules delivered yet another standout attacking performance on Friday night, as we beat Blackburn Rovers 3-1 at Meadow Park.
The 18-year-old was tasked with leading our line and showed great understanding with Emile Smith Rowe, who provided the assist for his first - and our third - of the night.
Here’s what John-Jules had to say:
on scoring…
It was good to get on the scoresheet again, I’m just trying to keep my run going, trying to keep scoring for the team so we can develop and maintain our run.
on playing alongside Emile Smith Rowe…
It helps me out as a forward and he always teaches me what to do and is always encouraging me. It’s great to play alongside him, I think our link-up play is good and it’s getting better.
on the confidence in the squad…
We’re all confident, we’re just trying to keep this run going and trying to improve in the league and keep going. There’s always things to improve on and we want to keep trying to improve and it’s going good so far.
on his ambitions…
I just want to keep scoring goals. With the cup games that are coming up for the first-team, if I get a chance then I’ll take the chance, but if not, I want to keep working hard for the under-23s and keep scoring.
