Every year the Emirates Cup offers some serious tests for our first team ahead of the new Premier League season - and that will certainly be the case this weekend.
We will face Portuguese champions Benfica on Saturday, but rounding off the tournament against Sevilla 24 hours later - and Francis Coquelin can’t wait to get going.
“It’s nice because every time they organise the Emirates Cup they try to get the best teams they can,” he told Arsenal Player.
“This year there are some strong teams again with Sevilla, Benfica and Leipzig.
“It is different football because it’s not Premier League, it is more technical so it is interesting and good preparation for the start of the season.”
