Beth Mead signs new Arsenal contract

We are delighted to announce that Beth Mead has signed a new deal with us.

Beth joined us from Sunderland in 2017 and has since scored 61 goals in 166 appearances for the club.

She was part of the Arsenal squad that won the 2017/18 FA Women's League Cup and the 2018/19 Women’s Super League title.

Beth’s new contract follows a stellar 2021/22 season for club and country, as she racked up 33 goal involvements (14 goals, 19 assists) in 40 appearances for Arsenal, before playing a key role in England’s Euro 2022 triumph.

Beth was named Player of the Tournament and won the Golden Boot with six goals in six games, in addition to providing a tournament-high of five assists. Further recognition followed, as Beth was named BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year for 2022 and England Player of the Year for 2021/22.

“I’m so happy to have signed a new deal with Arsenal,” said Beth. “This club is home for me – I’ve grown so much here as a player and a person and I know we can achieve so much more together in the years to come.

"I want to compete to win the biggest trophies in the game and I know that the ambitions at Arsenal match my own, so I can’t wait to get back onto the pitch and help to deliver the success our supporters deserve.”
