Beth Mead and Rafaelle Souza have both been nominated for the Barclays' Player of the Month for September.
The duo have been in startling form during our unblemished start to the WSL season. Beth, who was recently named the Lionesses' Player of the Year, has three goals and two assists to her name after only two WSL fixtures.
Not content with simply standing firm at centre-back, Rafaelle has also provided plenty of threat in attack with marauding runs into the opposition box and skills worthy of highlight reels. The Brazilian captain's looping header in the North London Derby was her second goal in the Arsenal red.
Manchester United's Maya Le Tissier and Katie Zelem have also been shortlisted for the accolade, as the Red Devils have started their WSL campaign with two wins from two. Beth's England teammates – Fran Kirby and Rachel Daly – have also earned nominations.
