Bellerin - The display we must replicate

Hector Bellerin

When we travelled to Chelsea in September, the omens weren't good.

We had not won at Stamford Bridge in six years, we were facing the champions and our previous away match had been a 4-0 defeat at Liverpool.

But a resolute defensive display saw us claim a hard-earned point in a match we could have won, and Hector Bellerin is looking for something similar at Manchester City on Sunday.

“After having not a very good result away from home, that was a really positive thing to draw at Chelsea,” he told Arsenal Player.

“We showed we have the potential and it is something to take on board when we play away. Hopefully we can replicate the defensive discipline we showed in that game, that solidarity and hopefully we can be a bit more efficient in front of goal and score the chances we get.

“It is going to be one of the biggest challenges of the season [against Man City], we are playing away as well so that is really hard for us. They have scored loads of goals, they create loads of chances and I think their attack is one of the best in the league, and even in the world.

“Most of the teams that have played against them have just defended, but we are not a team like that: we want to attack, we want to keep the ball, so hopefully that will be a different challenge for them and we can match them.”
