Loan Watch: Smith sets up Swindon winner

Matt Smith played the full match as Swindon beat Bristol Rovers 1-0 at County Ground. Our on-loan midfielder set up the winner for his side, placing an inch perfect free-kick on to the head of Brett Pitman, who nodded home smartly from three yards to take the points.

James Olayinka also played the entire match as Southend beat Walsall 1-0 in League Two. The game finished in dramatic fashion as Emile Acquah scored in the 88th minute to give Olayinka's side their first win of the season.

Elsewhere, Tolaji Bola played the full 90 minutes as Rochdale were beaten 1-0 by Wimbledon at home. Ethan Chislett struck late to break Dale hearts at Spotland Stadium and take maximum points from the fixture. Our 21-year-old defender returned to the matchday squad after missing out against Salford in the EFL Cup last time out, but couldn't prevent Rochdale from slipping to 20th in League One.

Mark McGuinness was also in action this weekend, playing the full game as Ipswich beat Shrewsbury 2-1 at Portman Road. The Shrews took the lead after just four minutes through Oliver Norburn before an Ethan Ebanks-Landell own goal set up a tight finish. Jack Lankester then struck seven minutes into added time to give Ipswich all three points.

Ben Sheaf played 67 minutes for Coventry as they drew 0-0 with Birmingham on Friday. Leo Ostigard replaced our 22-year-old midfielder late in the second half after he picked up a booking. The result leaves Coventry 21st in the Championship, just one point above the drop zone.

Zech Medley featured for Gillingham in their 1-1 draw with Charlton in League One. Our 20-year-old defender played the full game at Priestfield as Steve Evans' side picked up their first points at home since October. Conor Washington missed a first-half spot-kick for the Addicks before Gillingham took the lead through a penalty of their own. Jordan Graham stepped to convert from 12 yards to give the home side a 1-0 advantage midway through the second half. Charlton hit back just nine minutes later though as Chuks Aneke was on hand to ensure to points were shared. Trae Coyle also featured in the match, replacing Gillingham forward Vadaine Oliver with five minutes to play.

Matteo Guendouzi played the full game as Hertha Berlin were beaten 5-2 by Borussia Dortmund in Germany. Matheus Cunha opened the scoring before Erling Haaland celebrated winning the Golden Boy award this week with four goals.

🎉 Happy birthday, Matteo! | The very best of Guendouzi

Guendouzi did well to earn his side a late penalty in the second half but it wasn't enough to affect the outcome. Raphael Guerreiro and Cunha both then completed the scoring
