Arteta nominated for PL Manager of the Month

Mikel Arteta celebrates a goal

After keeping us beaten throughout the first three months of 2024, Mikel Arteta has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for March.

Last month's winner has been included on the shortlist for the third month in a row, and the sixth time this season after guiding us to two wins and a draw from our three matches.

March began with a 6-0 thumping of Sheffield United, before we snatched a 2-1 win against Brentford to string together a ninth league win in a row. We then claimed a 0-0 draw against Manchester City, becoming the first team to prevent City scoring at home in all competitions in 57 matches.

Mikel is one of four bosses up for the prize, with his compatriot Andoni Iraola being recognised for guiding Bournemouth to three wins and a draw, including a historic comeback against Luton that saw them trail 3-0 at half-time before coming back to win.

Ange Postecoglu of Tottenham Hotspur also recorded three wins from four matches, beating Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Luton but losing to Fulham, while Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp matched Mikel's record of seven points from three games, having also drawn against Manchester City either side of wins against Nottingham Forest and Brighton.

The winner is chosen by a combination of supporters’ votes and the views of a panel of experts, so you can help Mikel retain his award by voting for him now until Monday, April 8.
