Why study an NCFE qualification?
NCFE (Northern Council for Further Education) is a national, educational awarding body that designs, develops and certifies diverse, recognised vocational qualifications and awards. NCFE is the UK’s longest-established awarding body, as well as one of the UK’s fastest-growing.
NCFE qualifications are available at various levels. Level 1 and 2 are equivalent to GCSEs, Level 3 to A-Levels, and Levels 4 to 7 hold the same status of achievement as a degree. Level 2 NCFE Course Information
The NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Sport (Sport, Exercise & Fitness) is intended for learners aged 16-plus and provides the introductory skills to either start a career in sport or progress within employment in the sector. This qualification can also prepare learners for higher or further education and gives a good introduction to the sport vocation.
The NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Sport (Sport, Exercise & Fitness) is designed as a one-year, full-time course and will provide the foundations to progress onto the NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity.
Level 3 NCFE Course Information
The NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity (Sports Coaching) is intended for learners aged 16-plus and provides the knowledge, skills and understanding required within the sport and physical activity sector. It will also allow learners to gain transferable skills that can be applied to the workplace or further education and support learners interested in progressing to higher education.
The NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity (Sports Coaching) is designed as a two-year, full-time programme and will provide the following UCAS points: P–48 M–96 D–144 D*–168.
