Arsenal Diary: What’s in store this week

We’re back in Carabao Cup, Premier League and Barclays Women’s Super League action this week.

There are also two Premier League 2 fixtures for our Under-21s side and an U18 Premier League South match for our Under-18s.

Here’s what to look out for on Arsenal.com and the official app over the next seven days.

7pm - Blackburn Rovers v Arsenal U21s

Mehmet Ali’s young Gunners are back in Premier League 2 action with a trip to the Lancashire FA County Ground to take on Blackburn.

The match will be streamed live on Arsenal.com and the official app from 7pm.


TUESDAY

Mikel Arteta will be back in from of the media on Tuesday afternoon for his pre-Preston North End press conference.

Watch it here on Arsenal.com or the official app as he shares updates on team news and looks ahead to our Carabao Cup clash.

WEDNESDAY

7.45pm - Preston North End v Arsenal

Deepdale GV

It’s the Round of 16 at Deepdale Stadium as we face Preston in the Carabao Cup.

Supporters in the UK can watch the match live on Sky Sports +, while Live From N5 will bring you commentary coverage on Arsenal.com and the official app.

Post-match interviews, highlights and a full match replay will be published after the game.

Should we beat Preston, we’ll be keeping an eye on the Carabao Cup quarter-final draw, which is set to take place at 10.45pm.

FRIDAY

Mikel Arteta will hold his pre-Newcastle United press conference at 9am, before women’s interim head coach Renee Slegers talks to the press ahead of Sunday’s game against Manchester United at 2pm.

7pm - Chelsea v Arsenal U21s

It’s back-to-back away game for our under-21s in PL2 this week as we travel to the Cherry Red Records Fans’ Stadium to meet Chelsea on Friday night.

As usual, we’ll be providing updates throughout the match on our academy X account, and a full match report will be published shortly after the final whistle.

SATURDAY

11am - Arsenal U18s v Crystal Palace

Saturday kicks off at Sobha Realty Training Centre, Crystal Palace the visitors for this weekend’s U18 PL South game.

Adam Birchall’s young Gunners will be hoping to respond to last weekend’s disappointing 3-2 loss away to Norwich City.

12.30pm - Newcastle United v Arsenal

St. James’ Park is the venue for our first of four away games in a row in all competitions.

Eddie Howe’s side have had a mixed start to the season with three wins, three draws and three defeats from the opening nine games. After losing 2-1 to Chelsea on Sunday, they host the Blues in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

Saturday’s Premier League match will be shown live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK, while we will bring you all the pre-match build-up on Arsenal.com and the official app with our match day show Live From N5.

SUNDAY

12.30pm - Manchester United v Arsenal Women

Following the completion of the women’s international break, we’re back to business in the WSL with a trip to Leigh Sports Village to take on Manchester United, who we trail by two points having played one game more.

UK-based supporters can watch the match live on BBC Two and we will be providing updates on our women’s X account, before providing a match report and post-match reaction on Arsenal.com and the official app.
