Arsenal and STATSports help bring aspiring young players from all over the globe to the attention of Arsenal’s Talent ID staff via personalised GPS data.
Since the launch of the STATSports Arsenal FC Edition GPS Tracker in 2021, the link-up has brought 66 young ballers to Emirates Stadium to display their talent in front of Arsenal Talent ID staff.
No young player’s journey is the same, with different players developing through adolescence at different rates. By tracking their GPS data through the Arsenal FC Edition pod, both STATSports and the club can identify young players making significant progress on a seasonal basis. This partnership extension marks a further commitment from both Arsenal Men’s and Women’s teams to continue this search.
“For over a decade, we have used STATSports technology for our under-12s through to our first teams," said academy manager Per Mertesacker. "STATSports have played a key role in developing the physical performance of our players, so we’re delighted to extend this partnership. Our Talent ID team have been really impressed by the standard of players brought to play at the Emirates so far, and we’re excited to see what’s to come.”

What is the STATSports Arsenal FC Edition?
STATSports are the official GPS Performance Tracker of Arsenal FC for the third year running. This partnership has enabled us to access performance data from aspiring players from all levels of the game, helping us track the next generation of talent.
The STATSports Arsenal FC Edition is the same technology and black pod our first teams use to capture data from every session including distances covered, maximum speeds, intensity and fatigue levels. Therefore, aspiring players can use the exact same technology as their footballing heroes, giving them the opportunity to compare their performance data with our stars, from the academy level to first teams.
Road to Emirates Stadium
Players using any STATSports GPS Performance Tracker have the opportunity of a lifetime to play at Emirates Stadium. Over the last two years, the youth players had 90 minutes to showcase their talent and be put through their paces by Arsenal's Talent ID and academy staff, including technical passing drills, full-sized games, and a few challenges.

If your stats are good enough, you too could be selected to play at Emirates Stadium as STATSports are now on the search for 22 players for the 2025 event.
The metrics that will help you get spotted on the leaderboards and give you that chance to play at Emirates Stadium are total distance, max speed, high-speed running, intensity and distance per minute.
