Marquinhos

Exciting Brazilian forward Marquinhos is spending the first-half of this season on loan back in his homeland with Fluminense. 

He joined the 2023 Copa Libertadores winners in February 2024 and helped them win the Recopa Sudamerica, the continent’s equivalent of the UEFA Super Cup. 

The youth international scored a fine goal on his Arsenal debut in a 2-1 win over FC Zurich in the Europa League, having arrived from Sao Paulo in summer 2022. 

The winger, who boasts electric pace, an array of tricks and fierce left foot, featured six times in all competitions before spending the second half of his first season in England at Championship side Norwich City. He scored and assisted on his debut, a 2-0 win over Cardiff City, and made 11 appearances in the second tier. 

He headed out on loan again, this time to Nantes in Ligue 1, in August 2023. He made seven appearances in France before switching to Fluminense. 

After making his Brazil Under-16s debut in 2019, he now represents the under-23s.
