Arsenal Ladies got back to winning ways and moved up to third place in the Premier League table, with a flurry of late goals giving them a 6-2 victory over Watford on Thursday evening.

Julie Fleeting had the Gunners ahead after 11 minutes but it wasn't all plain sailing for the hosts, as the Hornets levelled through a Gilly Flaherty own goal, 7 minutes before the break.

Chicago-bound Katie Chapman restored the lead 7 minutes after the restart with a strike from outside the box, Kim Little making it 3-1 on 69 minutes when she closed down the Watford defence who tried to clear but rebounded off Little only to see it go into the goal.

Watford hit back again, as Annie Barrett netted 2 minutes later, before Arsenal finished the game off with three goals in the last 17 minutes.

Gemma Davison gave the Gunners a two-goal cushion for a second time with a rocket of a shot from outside the box, Jayne Ludlow got the fifth on 79 minutes with a header, Helen Lander then completing the scoring late on with another header, against her former club.
