Khayon Edwards signs first professional contract

Khayon Edwards has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The 18-year-old striker joined our pre-academy aged five, and has progressed year on year to become a prolific striker for our youth sides.

Khayon scored 16 goals in as many Under-18 Premier League games this season, and provided five assists.

Our striker also made the step up to our U23s side this campaign, scoring his first goal at that level in a 1-1 draw with West Ham United in January.

"I'm very delighted to have signed my first professional contract," Khayon told Arsenal Media.

"I've worked hard for this moment. It's been a very important season for me, but now it's time to step up and prove what I've proved time and time again."

Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Khayon on his first professional contract and we look forward to seeing his continued development.
