James Sweet has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The England youth international has been a key player for us across the age groups, since joining our academy aged eight.
Although an attacking-minded midfielder, the 18-year-old showcases his defensive duties when playing as a box-to-box midfielder. Several impressive performances last season saw James scoring once and assisting nine times in 25 appearances for our U-18s.
“It feels amazing,” James told Arsenal Media.
“I’ve supported this club since I was a young boy and I’m excited to keep going.”
