France Under-21s forward Yaya increased his first-team experience away from north London last term.
The rangy striker spent the first half of the campaign with Ajax in the Netherlands. He made four appearances for the Dutch side before returning to Arsenal at the start of 2016.
Yaya was loaned out again soon after, joining Championship side Charlton Athletic until the end of the season, and scored a hat-trick on his first start for the Addicks, a 4-3 home defeat to Reading. He played eight times in total for Charlton but was unable to prevent them from relegation to League One.
Yaya had spent the second half of the 2014/15 season in south London too - this time at Crystal Palace. He scored in just his second match for the Eagles, a 3-2 FA Cup success at Southampton, and featured on 11 occasions during his time at Selhurst Park, helping Palace to a top-half finish.
A powerful forward, Yaya scored his first competitive Arsenal goal against Borussia Dortmund on November 26, 2014, sliding home from close range after combining with Santi Cazorla.
He joined the club from French side Auxerre in the summer of 2013 and made his debut away at Fulham soon after. Yaya has represented France at all levels from under-16 to under-21 and helped his country to win the Under-20 World Cup in 2013.
