William Sharpe joined Arsenal from Loughborough Town in May 1894.
With a goal ratio of almost one in every three matches, the outside left picked up a goalscoring reputation - even if his Gunners tenure was brief.
He made his debut in a 5-2 victory over Lincoln in September 1894 before making another 12 league appearances.
Sharpe struggled to nail down a first-team place, however, and the winger was transferred to Glossop North End in August 1895.
