Wilf Rostron joined Arsenal as an amateur in 1972 and turned professional a year later.
The winger enjoyed a goalscoring debut against Newcastle United in March 1975 in a 3-0 victory over the Magpies.
He followed that up with another strike in Arsenal's next match against Burnley, but they proved to be his only goals for the Club.
Rostron struggled to hold down a regular first-team place and played 16 times over the course of three seasons under Bertie Mee.
He transferred to Sunderland for £40,000 in July 1977 and later appeared for Watford, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United.
