Walter Shaw's goalscoring record at Arsenal was impressive, even if he was rarely given an opportunity to prove his worth.
The diminutive striker (at just 5ft 6in) notched a goal every other game for the first team, firing 12 goals in his 24 appearances.
But Shaw was a bit-part figure during his season-and-a-half spell with the Club after signing from Birmingham in January 1893.
He was released by Arsenal at the end of the 1895/95 campaign and returned to the West Midlands with his former club.
