Vladimir Petrovic joined Arsenal in December 1982 after earning a big reputation at Red Star Belgrade.
The midfielder arrived with plenty of pedigree having won five Yugoslav league titles, six domestic cups, a UEFA Cup runners-up medal and Yugoslav Footballer of the Year awards in 1980 and 1981.
But Petrovic's stay in north London was short-lived. Signed for £45,000 by Terry Neill, the Yugoslavia international made his debut in a 2-1 win over Swansea in January 1983.
Petrovic initially joined Arsenal for pre-season at the beginning of the 1982/83 campaign, only for red tape to delay his debut until Christmas.
He scored on his third appearance against Stoke two weeks later - the first of three goals in his 19 starts for the Club.
Petrovic played 22 times before being released at the end of his solitary season at Highbury. He joined Royal Antwerp in Belgium before featuring for Brest, Standard Liege and Nancy.
The midfielder later moved into management and enjoyed roles with the likes of Serbia, China and Red Star Belgrade.
