Trevor Ross

Trevor Ross joined Arsenal as a schoolboy before signing apprenticeship terms in May 1972.

That became a professional deal two years later and Ross made his senior debut against Liverpool in February 1975 as a substitute for Alan Ball.

Ross was a regular in the second half of the 1975/76 campaign after a goalscoring start against Leicester in January.

He kept his place for the majority of the following season as Arsenal finished eighth in Division One, but joined Everton for £170,000 in November 1977.

Ross made 67 appearances, scored nine goals and won one Scotland Under-21 cap during his spell at the Club.

He later played for Everton, Portsmouth (loan), Sheffield United (twice), AEK Athens, Bury, Hyde United and Altrincham.
