Stephen Theobald struggled to hold down a regular place during his nine-year career at Arsenal.
With just 24 appearances in that time, Theobald's appearances were largely restricted to games in the South Eastern League.
The Plumstead-born local centre half did eventually make his league debut on Christmas Day 1902 in a 2-1 defeat to Burton United.
Theobald eventually made his league bow seven years later in a 3-1 loss at Newcastle United.
