Sebastian Svard was a prodigy when Arsenal made their move for the young midfielder in November 2000.
Svard had impressed in the Denmark youth set-up, featuring at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 level.
The defensive midfielder was part of Arsenal’s FA Youth Cup-winning team of 2001 and eventually worked his way into Arsene Wenger's plans.
Svard made his debut as a substitute in Arsenal's 2-0 League Cup win over Grimsby in 2001/02 and made another two cup appearances the following campaign.
But they proved to be the Denmark youth international's final appearances for the Club. The youngster was sent on loan to Copenhagen, Stoke, Brondby and Vitoria before leaving on a permanent deal to Borussia Monchengladbach in summer 2006.
Svard spent four years with the Bundesliga side before playing for Hansa Rostock (loan), Roda JC and Silkeborg IF.
