Scott Marshall

Centre back Scott Marshall joined the Club as a schoolboy in 1988 but did not sign professional terms until three years later.

During his 10-year spell at Arsenal, Marshall was part of a squad that won the league title in 1991 and 1998, the FA Cup in 1993 and 1988 and the League Cup in 1993, although he was not at the forefront of that success.

The Scottish defender made his senior debut in 1993 against Sheffield Wednesday, just nine days before the FA Cup final against the same team at Wembley, and was named the Club’s young player of the year in 1996.

However Marshall could not force his way past the likes of Tony Adams and Martin Keown and into the first team on a regular basis, and he joined Southampton in 1998.
