Reg Cumner achieved international recognition during his eight-year spell at Arsenal.
Although he found senior appearances hard to come by at the Club, the outside left earned three caps for Wales in 1939, scoring once.
Joining Arsenal in May 1935, Cumner enjoyed loan spells with Margate and Hull City before returning to Highbury four years later.
He made his debut in the Football Combination against Portsmouth in May 1938 but the outbreak of the Second World War hampered his progress.
Cumner suffered severe burns while serving in the Royal Marines during the war but still returned to the Club after the conflict.
Having made 12 of his 14 Arsenal appearances before the war, Cumner played only twice more and made his final appearance in the FA Cup against West Ham in January 1946.
He transferred to Notts County in exchange for Ian McPherson in August 1946 and later played for Watford, Scunthorpe United, Bradford City, Poole Town and Bridport.
