A strong, powerful, tough-tackling defender, Mazeed was virtually ever-present at the heart of defence for the under-23s last season.
Also capable of playing at left-back, Mazeed’s consistent performances last term earned him call-ups to the first-team squad against Crystal Palace and Southampton in the Premier League.
A Republic of Ireland youth international, Mazeed has natural leadership qualities and made his under-18 debut when aged just 15.
He will spend the 2022/23 season on loan at Crawley Town to gain valuable experience in the Football League.
