Matthew Shortt

Matthew Shortt spent just two months at Arsenal.

The inside forward was signed from Scottish club Dumfries after a successful trial but returned home to Scotland after just four appearances for the Club.

Shortt was transferred to Kilmarnock in January 1911, where he made the successful transition to centre back and stayed until his retirement in 1924. He later played in America.
