During his first spell at Arsenal, centre forward-cum-half back Joseph Heath was coach of the reserve team.
Having signed for the Club from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1893, Heath was sold to Gravesend United two years later. He rejoined the Club, primarily as a reserve player in 1896, and left three years later.
Heath scored five times in 10 league appearances and was on target in both of his FA Cup appearances for the Club.
