John Snedden

John Snedden's seven years at Arsenal were hampered by injury.

The Scotland-born half back joined Arsenal as an amateur from hometown club Bonnyvale in October 1958 and turned professional four months later.

He made the first of his 94 starts for the Club in a North London derby against Tottenham at White Hart Lane in January 1960 - a 3-0 defeat for the Gunners.

Snedden suffered a broken ankle in December of that year before undergoing a knee operation in April 1963.

During his time at Arsenal he earned international honours with Scotland Schoolboys and eventually joined Charlton Athletic for £150,000 in March 1965.

He later played for Orient and Halifax Town. Upon retirement, Snedden worked in West Germany.
