John Flanagan

John Flanagan joined Arsenal from Fulham in December 1910.

The inside forward spent almost seven years at the Club and finished as top goalscorer in the Gunners' first season at Highbury in 1913/14.

Flanagan was 21 on his arrival and made his senior debut in a 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Swindon two months later.

He was Arsenal's joint-top scorer with Charlie Lewis in 1912/13 as the team were relegated from the First Division and then scored 13 times in the following campaign in the Club's new home.

The forward made 121 starts and scored 28 goals during his spell in north London.

Flanagan retired through injury in 1917.
