Having signed for Arsenal in the summer of 1965, Jimmy McGill had to wait almost a year before he made his senior league debut against Leeds United on May 5, 1966.
The wing half continued to feature intermittently until the end of the year, with his last league appearance coming in an away match at Southampton.
McGill was sold to Huddersfield Town in September 1967 and also went on to represent Hull City and Halifax Town. He crossed the Atlantic to play for San Diego and finished his career at Melbourne in Australia.
Jimmy sadly passed away in Leeds on March 25, 2015, aged 68.
