Jason Crowe was unable to make an impact in Arsenal's first team behind Lee Dixon.
The young right back played three times after developing in the Club's youth system and made a League Cup debut against Birmingham City in October 1997.
It was a game to remember for all the wrong reasons as Crowe was sent off by referee Uriah Rennie for a high tackle after just 33 seconds. It remains the fastest debut dismissal in Arsenal history.
The young defender returned against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup before adding another appearance against Derby the following campaign.
First-team opportunities were limited, however, and Crowe joined Palace on loan in 1998. He transferred to Portsmouth for £1million a year later before taking in spells with Brentford (loan), Grimsby Town, Northampton Town (twice), Leeds United, Leyton Orient and Corby Town.
