James Stuart joined Arsenal from Blackburn Rovers in September 1897 but was released within months.
The centre forward made a goalscoring debut against Luton in October that year but made just one more appearance for Arsenal one week later against Newcastle.
Upon his release, Stuart signed for New Brompton.
