James Robertson

James Robertson joined Arsenal as a 19-year-old from Dunipace Thistle in June 1948.

The Falkirk-born winger had served National Service in the Royal Artillery and played for the Army in representative matches.

Robertson appeared once in five years at the Club, starting Arsenal's 3-1 defeat to West Brom on the penultimate day of the 1951/52 season.

He transferred to Brentford in September 1953 in a part-exchange deal which saw Tommy Lawton head to Highbury.
