Humphrey Barbour

Humphrey Barbour knew where the goal was.

The Glasgow-born striker scored four in his five appearances for Arsenal - a ratio that bears comparison with the very best.

But of course Barbour's goals came at a rather lower standard.

His quartet arrived in four FA Cup qualifying matches. Indeed, Barbour only ever played one 'first-class' match for the Club - an FA Cup First Round tie against Derby County on January 17, 1891.

But Barbour had been a regular for Royal Arsenal, scoring 55 goals in 66 senior appearances and winning the London Senior Cup and the London Challenge Cup.

He left Arsenal in 1893 and went on to play for Clapton and Lincoln.
