Hugh McDonald

Hugh McDonald enjoyed three separate spells with Arsenal, although he only made two appearances after first signing in 1906 as understudy to England goalkeeper Jimmy Ashcroft.

McDonald joined Brighton and Hove Albion at the end of the year before returning to the Club in 1908, missing just two games over the next two seasons as he established his first-team credentials.

However, he moved to Oldham in 1910 then had a spell at Bradford Park Avenue before returning to Arsenal for the final time in 1912 as the Club were relegated.

McDonald departed for Fulham in 1913, but remains the only player in Arsenal history to have had three different spells with the Club.
