George Jobey

George Jobey was the scorer of Arsenal's first goal at Highbury.

The half back joined for £500 in May 1913 after winning the First Division with hometown club Newcastle United.

He only spent one season at the Club, however, playing 28 times as Arsenal finished third in their first season at their new home.

Jobey joined Bradford in June 1914 and later played for Hamilton Academical and Leicester Fosse before moving into management with Northampton, Wolves, Derby and Mansfield.
