George Burrell joined Arsenal as a young outside left from Leyton in January 1912.
Taking over Tommy Winship's place on the wing, Burrell played 17 times and scored once but could not do enough to help the Gunners avoid relegation to Division Two.
He lost his place the following campaign, playing six times in total.
Newcastle-born Burrell was given a free transfer in summer 1914 and joined South Shields.
