George Burdett enjoyed almost half a season as Woolwich Arsenal's first-choice goalkeeper in 1911/12.
He joined as an amateur in August 1910 and played 10 times in his debut campaign, keeping six clean sheets.
An Army man and musician in the Royal Artillery Band, the goalkeeper took the gloves the following season from September until early January.
But after losing his place, Burdett left in 1912.
