Frank O'Neill spent the majority of his career in Ireland after getting his professional break at Arsenal.
The outside right joined as an amateur from Scotland in December 1958 and signed professional terms five months later.
He made his debut in a 5-3 win over Nottingham Forest on New Year's Eve 1960 but played only once more before transferring to Shamrock Rovers in summer 1961.
O'Neill, a Republic of Ireland youth international during his Highbury career, won 20 caps for the senior team between 1961 and 1971.
He later played for Waterford United, Athlone Town, Belgrove, Dundalk, and St Patrick's Athletic.
